Gambit: noun. any maneuver by which one seeks to gain an advantage.
Entry: The old man visits the boss and they are sitting down together in a grand and comfortable room. The old man wants to recount his daughter's incident; yet, the boss stops him and hands him a bottle of whiskey, which the old man does not feel comfortable drinking. It can be observed that whiskey serves as a gambit to trigger his memories. When mentioned about his son's grave, the boss mourns over him and tortures a poor innocent fly by continuously dropping ink on the creature. His action of abusing the fly may serve as another gambit to express his rage and sadness.

She recounts the bombing of the capital and mentions how she is glad that her relatives are alive. This would be excellent for college essay because her emotions are perfectly portrayed through writing; hence, it is powerful and effective.

This blog focuses on the Korean entertainment. I enjoy reading this blog because her blogs are not only informative, but it includes her own opinions and views about a certain event. Her writing style is very informal; yet, her word choices make her sentences seem strong and straight to the point. A good blog attracts readers and catches their attention. This blog definitely has that charm.
