Dear Ms. Porter
I think I should get a B- because although I'm satisfied with my visual part, I think my analysis lacks insight. I should have covered more things about the poetic elements too.

1. Analysis -- what specifically does the person do well in analyzing?
He uses the lines of the poem to back up his claims.
2. Analysis -- if the person had to do this again, what would you recommend in analysis?
More organization! Maybe it's because of the busy backdrop, but it's hard to follow.
3. What is something you found surprising? or amusing?
Bringing up Michael Jackson's bad history when the poem is about wanting to be like Michael Jackson.
4. What is something you don't understand or find confusing? The constant use of music videos makes it hard to understand what he is saying. It makes it sort of difficult to pay attention.
5. Comment on the visual portion of this video.
In the beginning it's really interesting, but having music videos all the way through the end made it confusing to understand what he was saying.
6. Other?
What he had to say was interesting, and the video portion was interesting, but it was hard to pay attention to both at the same time. Otherwise great job!

1. Analysis -- what specifically does the person do well in analyzing?
He describes what the author or the speaker is feeling when he wrote the poem. He makes it easy to imagine what the speaker is feeling by making personal connections.
2. Analysis -- if the person had to do this again, what would you recommend in analysis?
We recommend more analysis on convention of poetry. Although your focus was on the meaning of the poetry to the poet, it would be nicer if there was a bit more analysis on how he used literary elements to emphasize the influence of MJ.
3. What is something you found surprising? or amusing?
We think the selection of the poem was interesting. The topic is something to do with pop culture - different from the typical poetry topics (season, love, etc.)
5. Comment on the visual portion of this video.
It would have been nicer, if we could see the text or even yourself in the video. Clips of MJ was attractive, but seeing you could be even more attractive.

1. Analysis -- what specifically does the person do well in analyzing? I think I did well on analyzing the theme of the poem.
2. Analysis -- if the person had to do this again, what would you recommend in analysis? I want to analyze more things other than the theme. Things like the structure or diction.
3. What is something you found surprising? or amusing? I like my visual part of the poem.
4. What is something you don't understand or find confusing? I pronounce the words kind of vaguely sometimes.
