I. Introduction
Throughout the story, the three major characters display a strong need to accomplish their goals in order to gain fame. Robert Walton is in search of the north pole for fame, Victor Frankenstein is in thought of creating a human-like monster for fame, and his monster is able to learn by observation for fame. But it was not just the fame that blinded their eyes and led them to destruction. Their irresponsibility and lack of vision are what brought them down to nothing. Their knowledge, the knowledge that seemed promising at that time period, became futile.
