Monsters dwell within human mind, as the source of the monster’s violence and evilness is derived from human nature. As the monster, biologically and mentally, is human, it is legitimate to categorize him as a living creature with human nature. The monster, when given life by his creator Victor, has a stronger physical body, but his mental state was equal to that of a newborn baby. As babies learn by imitating their parents, the monster learned from people he met. Unfortunately, he was open to adopt the evil side of human nature as his ugly appearance was capable of only gathering negative emotions. Thus, his sudden change from a innocent baby to a pure demon seeking only for vengeance is a natural event as Mary Shelly foreshadowed the monster with the evilness of human in her book, Frankenstein.
